Sr. Interaction Designer / Genesys, Daly City (CA) / Contract

Genesys is seeking a senior interaction designer with visual design experience contractor. We are the leading software vendor in the contact center space and delivering real-time interaction solutions to medium- and large-sized businesses and contact centers of all sizes.

Successful candidate must be an independent, self-motivated, creative professional, capable of adapting quickly. This is an active hands-on role, designing the core end-to-end user experience, architecting complex application UI, illustrating strategic thinking and business goals to
design, having a good eye, usability focus and working and developing innovative interactions.

Candidate will have worked as a hands-on UI design practitioner for web and desktop applications in the area of Contact Center, CRM or any Enterprise software. Candidate will be responsible for delivering documentation and a set of mockups UI designs.

Ideal Candidate Will Be:

• Producing innovative yet drive for ease of use and simplicity despite complexity of software/desktop applications
• Rapidly creating wire-frames, high-fidelity and interactive prototypes to define the architecture and interaction behaviors
• Creating superior designs and visual mock-ups
• Helping define requirements and outlining the user experience strategy for key features
• Defining the user interaction model and work-flows
• Working closely with the development, product, and marketing teams
• Tolerant of range of projects, from vague to well-defined, simple to complex, implementation to innovation
  

Experience

A strong candidate for this role will match many of these criteria:

• 5+ years of experience designing software-user interfaces
• BA/MA in interaction design or related design discipline
• Must demonstrate outstanding design talent and creativity
• Expertise in Contact Center, CRM, Business Process and Workflow Applications
• Have an understanding of a user-centered design process
• Proven ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional groups
• Strong visual and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated high proficiency in leading design tools such as Visio or Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash with capabilities in ActionScripting and DHTML is a plus
• Excellent time-management, multi-tasking ability, and the ability to prioritize
• Ability to quickly understand and communicate complex system and design concepts
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team
• Strong portfolio available for viewing
