Sr. Interactive Designer/Creative Director, PCD Group - Portland, OR, Full Time

PCD Group, a Portland Oregon interactive marketing agency specializing in custom websites, intranets and online applications is looking for a Senior level Interactive Designer with leadership experience in guiding and directing the Graphical and User Interface design solutions for websites and web applications.

The Senior Interactive Designer will be responsible for working with PCD Group's Principal and directly with our clients in requirements gathering and definition and for designing solutions. Ideally, we want this individual to play a leadership role in creative direction and solutions for PCD Group's interactive projects.

The Senior Interactive Designer MUST have the following Experience and Skills:

- Professional website and web application design (Please do not apply if you do not have actual web application design experience)

- Experience interacting and gathering requirements from clients, creating documentation, information architecture, U/I and GUI design

- Strong knowledge of user interface design and usability

- Ability to conceptualize, design and execute engaging interactive experiences

- Excellent design skills and a keen eye for attention todetail, plus a development technology understanding

- Experience with leading/directing other designers or being in a management role with decision making authority

- Experience working with corporate and Fortune 1,000 clients

- Software Requirements: Applicant must have knowledge of Mac, Windows, Photoshop, Flash and In-Design. Experience with Visio, PowerPoint, Action Script, Adobe Acrobat (editing) and Illustrator are a plus.

At a big picture, the individual must be able to design creative solutions that meet business objectives and brand guidelines, all the while keeping in mind the end user. Individual must able to visually communicate a message, extend brand and inspire action through design.
Individual must be able to articulate ideas clearly, think strategically, be open-minded and upbeat, reliable, creatively consistent, solutions oriented, flexible and collaborative.

Individual must have experience working with Web Programmers and Project Manager on a web development team. A degree in graphic design, communication design, interactive design or similar is desired, but excellent portfolio examples and strong work history will qualify.

The Senior Interactive Designer will be responsible for:

- Conceptualize the strategic direction of every interactive experience

- Develop, design and/or improve the user experience of websites and web applications

- Ensure the overall creative quality of output

- Manage client expectations and communicate design deliverables to clients

- Lead the creative direction for projects

- Manage, mentor, and expand the team of interactive designers and freelancers (in future)
